BIKE RODEO

The Bike Rodeo is a bicycle skills event which provides an opportunity for Scouts to practice and develop skills that will help them to become better bicyclists and avoid typical accidents. The program is geared toward Scouts of all ages and abilities with a wide variety of age-appropriate content.

SAFETY

Safety is our top priority and teaching Scouts how to ride their bikes safely is the underlying motivation behind the event. Scouts will even learn about Texas cycling laws from Propser Police Officers!

MAINTENANCE

The best way to prevent most cycling accidents is through diligent and repetitive maintenance checks. Scouts will learn what to test before each ride and the basics of bicycle maintenance.

RIDING SKILLS

After scouts learn about Texas laws, do a safety and helmet check, and learn basic maintenance, the Bike Rodeo culminates in a bike ride through a planned course that tests their riding skills and knowledge.
