NEW SCOUT BASIC NEEDS
Joining Cub Scouts doesn't have to be expensive and cost-prohibitive. We never let need get in the way of youth participation and there are programs available to assist you with Scouting-related expenses if you need them. The list below, while not exhaustive, is where you should focus your resources early in your Scouting adventure!

HANDBOOKS & WEB GUIDE
Handbooks have historically been a very helpful resource, but the updated program has been implemented online. Pack 289 no longer provides handbooks, but if you prefer a physical guide the new version is available at our local Scout Shop.

UNIFORM
Cub Scout uniforms are important and one of the ways we identify ourselves as Scouters. They also represent an investment so be sure to buy one large enough for your son or daughter to grow into. Click the image to the right for the official BSA uniform guidelines.

CLASS B SHIRTS
Show your Scout spirit by sporting our Pack 289 Class-B t-shirt or hoodie! Every Scout receives a Class-B t-shirt as part of their pack dues so be sure to click the image to the left and let us know what size your child needs.
